Itinerary

Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

Upon your arrival in Hanoi we shall warmly welcome, pick you up and take you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day to settle down, explore Hanoi and relax. We recommend that you head out and explore the shopping, for some dinner and perhaps the old quarters. We will gladly assist with arranging the restaurant reservation!

Day 2: CHARMING HANOI TOUR

You will start your morning with a breakfast at the hotel before going for a city tour of Hanoi the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed every Monday & Friday, all afternoons and from early September until mid November- on those days visits outside only + Ho Chi Minh Museum),  We then visit the One-Pillar Pagoda which rests on a single stone pillar emerging from the water, compared to a lotus on its stalk, before heading to visit the Confucius Temple – also known as the first University of Vietnam. In the afternoon, you will explore the Museum of Ethnology where you can see an educative display of the 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. The day ends with a sight-seeing tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, we will stop by the famous symbols and Ngoc Son Temple at the Hoan Kiem Lake.

Day 3: SAPA TOWN – LAO CHAI – TA VAN VILLAGE

A private car takes you from Hanoi – the drive takes approximately 4-5 hours to reach Lao Chai village – the home of the Black H’mong ethnic minority. You will visit some of the local hosts to experience how they are living before the visit continue to Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai village, exploring the ethnic minorities’ way of life and admiring the spectacular natural scenery of the terraced rice fields. Returning back up to Giang Ta Chai village, home of the Red Dzao tribe, we will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we drive back to Sapa and might stop occasionally on the way to take photos of the fabulously beautiful Muong Hoa Valley.

Day 4:SAPA – HANOI

This morning you have free time until the tour guide pick you up at the hotel and depart back to Hanoi. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours. On arrival you check-in to your hotel and can relax and spend some time at your own leisure. Later in the afternoon/evening your guide will help transfer you to visit the Lotte Observation Desk (272m at 65th floors). Here you will enjoy the spectacular views of the sunset and the night lights of Hanoi. A splendid evening is complemented with the first-hand experience of Hanoi at night viewed from above. A dinner here with the fantastic view can be arranged upon requests.

Day 5: HANOI – HUE

On arrival in Hue we transfer to the hotel then today’s tour starts at the ancient Imperial Citadel; standing for over 200 years, this is an ideal place for those wishing to better understand the architectural and cultural beauty as well as an impressive history of Vietnam. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you will pay a visit to Royal Tomb of King Khai Dinh where the stone steles, statues and stairs leading up to the temple create an ethereal ambience right next to the tranquil mountains. Visit Tomb of Tu Duc, one of the most popular and impressive of the royal mausoleums.

In afternoon, experience a peaceful ride and breeze cruising along the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda before a royal dinner.

Day 6: HUE – HOI AN TOUR

After breakfast you will depart to Hoi An via the Hai Van Cloudy Pass – taking a short stop at the peak to enjoy the breath-taking scenery and the harmonious beauty of the clouds, mountains and sea. (3-hour drive). Today you will take a tour around Hoi An Ancient Town, another UNESCO Heritage site, will show you plenty of places to visit. These attractions include the old merchant’s houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation that showcases outstanding wood carvings and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk.

In the afternoon we visit La Luna spa in Hoi An for relaxation.

Day 7: HOI – MY SON SANCTUARY – DA NANG

During the morning, we will go on an excursion to the Sanctuary of My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site with tower-temples which was the seat of the Champa Kingdom for the majority of its existence between the 4th and 13th century. We shall explore the ruins and then pay a visit to the museum at the entrance to My Son before enjoying lunch and departing for Da Nang. Upon arrival to Da Nang you’ll be transported to visit the Marble Mountain, Linh Ung Pagoda, Tang Chon Cave, Hoa Nghiem Cave and Non Nuoc Pagoda if there is time and energy for it!

Day 8: DA NANG

At the start of today, you’ll have breakfast at the hotel. For the rest of the day, you are free to relax or explore the city or beach on your own terms.

Day 10: DA NANG – SAIGON – ART SHOW (Opt-in available)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will transfer you to the airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Once arrived, you will visit the War museum which primarily contains exhibits relating to the American phase of the Vietnam War.(Please note that some photos are very graphic in here) The Notre Dame Cathedral, a spiritual and cultural crucible of the French presence in Vietnam and then the French colonial architecture style Post Office. We want to show you how the Saigonese live, so next we will visit a street coffee stall to enjoy Vietnamese coffee in a local way, chat with your guide about the coffee culture of Saigonese people whilst observing people hurrying back and forth on motorbikes.

In the afternoon, we have two opt-ins available at own expense. See below.

OPT-IN OPTION 1 – $25USD – Visit the Saigon Opera House to watch the cultural show “A O Show”. This show features a combination of different kinds of Vietnamese arts, which highlights the peaceful country life and poetic scenery of Southern Vietnam. It contains episodes of Vietnamese traditional folk games, dances and circus acts performed against the background of traditional and modern music combined with artistic lighting. (Not suitable for visually impaired)

OPT-IN OPTION 2 – $35USD – The Rainbow Show is a modern concert, as an interference, of an intercultural dialogue between Vietnamese music and world music. Between the instruments of symphonic music and the typically Vietnamese instruments. The idea is to better bring to spectators’ knowledge about the magnificent beauty of Vietnam and the multi-ethnic Vietnamese civilisation. This program lasts 60 minutes without interruption, containing 12 tracks carefully arranged according to a continuous scenario, will guide your soul to go on a cultural tour of music. (Not suitable for hearing impaired)

Day 11: SAIGON & DEPARTURE

After breakfast, you can relax on your own terms before your departure. We say farewell at the airport where our driver take you in time for your flight back to your home country, which concludes a memorable trip.
